1. Select Timing Belt

Timing Belts (also called toothed belts) are standard parts, produced by professional factories. For synchronous belts (V belts), according to the size of their cross-sectional dimensions, the original standard is divided into O, A, B, C, D, E, F Seven models, the new standard is divided into Y, Z, A, B, C, D, E, seven models, the size of the cross-section increases sequentially. The commonly used triangle tapes are Y, Z, A, and B. The replacement timing belt should be the same as the pulley model, and the length of the replaced timing belt and the original timing belt should be equal to the length required by the design (the model and inner circumference of the timing belt are stamped on the outside of the tape. Observe carefully). When selecting, choose different types of timing belts according to the power and the size of the pulley groove.

2. Installation of Timing Belt

Note during installation: The axes of the main and driven synchronous belt wheels should be kept parallel; the grooves must be in the same plane and must not be twisted; the tension of the tape must meet the requirements; when multiple synchronous belts are driven, the length and tension of each The degree should be basically the same; and a protective cover should be installed. Before installation, ensure that the two planes of the driving wheel and the driven wheel are on the same plane. Do not use iron tools to forcibly pry in when installing the timing belt. This will seriously damage the pried part of the timing belt, causing peeling between the inner layer and the strong layer of the timing belt or the skin is scratched, causing the slack of the prying part. It may also pry the timing belt pulley groove. The correct installation method is: first loosen the tensioning device, then press the timing belt into the pulley groove by hand, and finally tension it.

3. Strengthen regular inspection, adjustment and maintenance

In order to ensure the normal operation of the timing belt, the use of the timing belt should be checked regularly, and it should be replaced in time when it is found to be severely worn, cracked, aging, and folded. If it is stained with oil, clean it. During installation, there should be no uneven tension after installation. If the installation is too tight and the timing belt is severely deformed, the life of the timing belt will be shortened, and the bearing will be heated due to excessive radial force, which will accelerate the damage of the bearing; timing belt If it is too loose, the driven machine will not reach the rated speed and even slip. Check the tightness of the timing belt, and apply a vertical load of 2kg to the middle of each belt, and the sag should be 30-50mm.
