The Standard Steps When Replacing Industrial Timing Belts

When replacing these products with pulleys, you should turn off the power beforehand, remove the protective cover, and loosen the assembly bolt of the motor. Move the motor to make the timing belt slack enough so that the transmission belt can be removed without prying. Never pry the belt off. Remove the old transmission belt and check for abnormal wear. Excessive wear may mean that there is a problem with the design or maintenance of the transmission.

Needless to say, choose the appropriate timing belt to replace. To clean the transmission belt and the transmission pulley, you should wipe the rag with a little non-volatile liquid. Soaking in the detergent or using the cleaning brush to scrub the belt is not advisable. In order to remove the oil and Dirt, rubbing with sandpaper or scraping with sharp objects is obviously not advisable. The belt must be kept dry before installation and use.

The next step is to check: check whether the timing belt wheel is cracked or worn, it is best to use a professional display to check. If the wear is excessive, the pulley must be replaced. Check whether the drive pulley is linear and symmetrical. Check the rest of the transmission components, such as the symmetry, durability and lubrication of bearings and sleeves. For multiple belt drives, all belts must be replaced. If only one daily belt is replaced on multiple belt drives, the tension of the new belt may be appropriate, but all the old belts will have insufficient tension. It is possible that only this new belt is loaded, causing the new belt to be damaged prematurely.
